My Experience With Online Surveys
It seems like every time I check my email, there is another offer for online surveys. If I believe everything I read, you can earn a fabulous salary every year simply by participating in a few online surveys every day. Perhaps that has been true for some people, but I will not be quitting my day job to only do surveys anytime soon. It’s also necessary to verify the company is a legitimate one that pays.
However, I’ve had fun, earned some money and gotten free products from surveys. I think it’s important to understand what online surveys do and why the companies are willing to pay people for their opinions. It’s a fact of modern life that we’re all busy. The average person might not be willing to take time out of their day to answer a series of questions about a new laundry soap or a different kind of over-the-counter medication. However, when you are being paid to do so, it’s a different matter.
I did my first online survey six months ago, when I was sent a new kind of laundry soap and was asked to use it for a week. Each load of laundry, I was asked to answer questions about how well it worked, its scent, etc. I obviously got the soap for free and they paid me, so I did more surveys later. I have been very pleased with this, but I don’t think anyone should depend on this as a full-time income.
